Early Life and Devotion

Blessed Carlo Acutis was born on May 3, 1991, in London, England, to Italian parents. From a young age, he displayed an extraordinary love for God and a deep devotion to the Eucharist. By the age of seven, he had already made his First Communion and became a regular communicant.

Charity and Service

Carlo possessed a compassionate heart and a strong desire to help others. He often visited nursing homes and soup kitchens, offering comfort and assistance to those in need. He also created a website to catalog Eucharistic miracles and share his faith with the world.

Illness and Death

In October 2006, Carlo was diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukemia. Despite the severity of his illness, he remained cheerful and optimistic, offering his suffering for the Church and the conversion of sinners. Within a week of his diagnosis, Carlo passed away on October 12, 2006, at the age of 15.

Beatification and Legacy

Carlo's remarkable life and unwavering faith inspired countless people around the world. In 2013, he was declared Venerable by Pope Francis, and in October 2020, he was beatified in a ceremony in Assisi, Italy. Carlo's beatification serves as a reminder of the transformative power of faith and the importance of living a life of service and love.
